Sustainability is more than just environmental protection, and economic sustainability covers several aspects at once. As a wholesale company, we try to minimize the negative effects of our economic activities and have already been able to implement a number of things in the company. Now you can find out exactly what this looks like for us.

Ecological sustainability

Our company building

In view of the climate crisis, it is more important than ever that everyone does their part to protect the climate. In order to reduce our CO₂ emissions in the company, we have now invested in both e-cars as company cars and solar panels.

On a sunny day, approx. 2000 kW/h are produced, with which we can completely supply ourselves and the charging stations. About 1500 kW/h remain, which we feed into the public grid. Thus, we not only supply our own company climate neutral, but can also pass on the majority of the produced electricity.

Mobile without exhaust fumes – our new company cars as a further implementation of ecological sustainability

The charging stations for the e-cars are also freely accessible to everyone – whether it’s our employees or someone who happens to drive by with a low battery. External visitors also regularly charge their vehicles with us, so we can give something back to the community. Environmental stewardship is about lending a hand to one another. After all, we only have one planet and we have to work together to make sure it stays with us.

Social sustainability

Free eBikes for our employees

Not only do we want to contribute to environmental protection in the area of e-cars, but we also want to motivate our employees to leave their cars behind from time to time. For example, our permanent employees receive a free e-bike from OEGE. This allows employees to take longer routes by bike and saves them gas and their nerves during stop-and-go on the way to work.

Diversity in the team and socially acceptable way of working

Our employees have different mother tongues. This gives us a broad-based team and enables us to provide competent advice to customers from a wide range of countries. Our building has been built barrier-free and we would also like to live diversity even more in the future.

Social sustainability also includes aspects such as flexible working hours and the compatibility of family and career. As a medium-sized company, we also want to set an example in this area and, with flexible working hours and a time account, make it possible to always keep an eye on working hours and to compensate fairly for overtime. Our working hours are socially acceptable, so there are no meetings after 5 p.m. and overtime should generally be avoided.

Social commitment

We also regularly support charitable projects and provide donations in kind for regional associations such as Bodo e.V or Diakonisches Werk Dortmund und Lünen gGmbH.

It is a matter of course for us to organize quick fundraising campaigns in our company in acute crisis situations such as the earthquake in Turkey and we would also like to plan a “Social Day” in the near future, on which our employees can participate in an environmental campaign, for example.
